CAPS Founder & Executive Director to be on Fox46 Good Day Carolina at 8AM Sunday - June 21st

She will be discussing the upcoming Historic Rosedale Plantation paranormal tour.

All proceeds go towards the operating costs and restoration efforts at the plantation as they do not receive any type of government funding.

Brown Mountain Lights

CAPS members went in search of the infamous and mysterious lights on Saturday night.  Having first stopped at the Brown Mountain Lights Overlook on Highway 181 North, we recommend going to Wiseman's View as the best option to see the lights.

Wiseman's is off of Highway 183.

We were able to capture 2 pictures.  They will be uploaded asap.

Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum CAPS Trip May 9-10

The investigation as far as personal experiences proved to be better in the back buildings than in the main building.

CAPS team members will return to Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum on May 9th to investigate both the main building and the Forensics and Geriatric Buildings out back.

CAPS Volunteers for Taste of the Nation

Join us at the 20^th annual Share our Strength’s Taste of the Nation – a charity event to benefit organizations who strive to end childhood hunger in the Charlotte area and across America. Taste of the Nation will be held on April 15, 2015, at Two Wells Fargo Center Atrium,located at 301 S. Tryon Street, from 7p.m. – 9:30p.m. with a Preview Hour beginning at 6p.m for VIP ticket holders. The event features tasting stations from some of Charlotte’s hottest chefs and restaurants.  Besides the great food, wine, beer and other beverages, guests can also enjoy live entertainment and a silent and live auction. Tickets are $85 for General Admission and $120 for VIP Admission. Second Harvest Food Bank is one of two charities that benefit from Taste of the Nation. CAPS Founder & Director to Speak at The Society for Paranormal Inquiry (SPI) Fall Meeting

The Society for Paranormal Inquiry (SPI) is happy to announce our fall meeting for Sunday, November 17, from 2-6 PM at 31010 Executive Point, Tega Cay, SC 29708. We've got an exciting and different program planned with two excellent speakers. One of the reasons I formed SPI was to delve into the many facets of paranormal study and this event will provide just that. From ghosts to UFO's this will be a look into the unknown world in which we live. Both Tina McSwain and Jim Courant are noted lecturers in their chosen fields. Tina has appeared on many TV and radio shows, print media, and lectured extensively. Her website: http://www.charlotteareaparanormal.org/ details her incredible career and organization. Also, she's investigated UFO cases and has had experiences herself both UFO and ghost related although her main focus is ghost busting. Tina uses state of the art equipment such as Thermal Imaging, EMF detectors, and more which are also used in UFO research. This should be very fascinating. Jim Courant has been a well-known UFO researcher since 1964 when he joined NICAP. He's a pilot for a major airline, has consulted for major network TV shows such as Sightings, Encounters, and The Other Side. Additionally, Jim has spoken on radio and at various UFO conventions worldwide. His memory for detail is uncanny which makes him an excellent source for UFO knowledge. Jim's talk will coincide with many of todays topics. Please feel free to bring your friends to this meeting as it is sure to amaze and inform.
